LushProtein™ instantised Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) is a premium amino acid supplement containing an an optimal blend of leucine, isoleucine and valine in a proven 2:1:1 ratio. These three essential amino acids play a crucial role in supporting lean muscle growth recovery and repair making them excellent choice pre, intra and post-workout. BCAA’s make up one-third of our total muscle mass and in order for the body to grow they must be present.
During periods of intense training the body can enter into a state where the muscles begin to breakdown (catabolic state). BCAA’s are absorbed directly into the muscle tissue and are metabolised quickly, taking them suppresses the use of muscle proteins for fuel, thereby sparing the breakdown of muscular protein.
As BCAAs are metabolised in the muscles they can also be used directly as an energy source when required, delaying the onset of muscular fatigue. BCAAs and in particularly isoleucine have been linked to the replenishment of glycogen stores, meaning that BCAAs can have a direct impact on the bodies energy levels, allowing for prolonged physical exertion.
